Used Printer Cartridges for Recycling

Do you have used printer cartridges, which you don't know what to do with, yet don't want to see lying in a landfill?
Please send them to MNS HQ for recycling and help them raise money for the MNS Heritage Fund for Conservation.

What kind of cartridges can be recycled?
Almost all kind of printer cartridges, as well as ribbons, can be recycled.

What kind do they accept?
Laserjet, Bubblejet, Inkjet, printer cartridges; dot matrix ribbon printer cartridges; fax dry toners; laser printer cartridges; electronic typewriter ribbon cartridges.

What if they are damaged?
Try not to damage them if possible. (Please see the final question)
If possible, please send them in their original box or pack them properly.

Where can you deposit them?
Please deposit them at MNS HQ. If you are not in KL, you can deposit them at the MNS Branches in most states. You can post your cartridges to them, if you don't mind paying for the postage.

Do they come to your homes or offices to collect?
Sorry, you must bring the cartridges in yourself.

How many can you send?
As many as you can.

Who do you pass the cartridges to?
Please deposit them in the recycling box in the MNS HQ.

When can you send them in?
MNS HQ: 9am-5.30pm on weekdays and 10am-4pm on Saturdays
MNS Branches: Please call them up and arrange a time with them.

Why do you need to recycle?
Printer cartridges contain toxic substances, which are not environmental friendly to landfills and the incinerator.
A recycling company will take them apart, service the parts, refill an then send them again, thus they can be reused several times.
Therefore, the less damaged the cartridges that you bring in are, the better; almost all the parts will be reused.
They have proper disposal methods for toxic substances.
